    HELCOM Expert Group on Places of Refuge

    A place of refuge is a place where a ship in need of assistance can take action to enable it to stabilise its condition and reduce the hazards to navigation, and to protect human life and the environment. EG PoR is a professional forum that collects and shares knowledge and contributes to enhancing the procedures related to granting a place of refuge by information sharing and by developing joint procedures.
