On 30 October 2024 at 16:45-18:15, HELCOM will co-organise a workshop with ELY-Centre / PA Nutri on Aligning Cross-Sectorial Efforts to Reach Policy Goals on Saving the Sea. Venue: Lye/Lounge
Description: This workshop aims to enhance the synergy between EUSBSR Policy Areas working toward the Save the Sea objective and other regional organizations, such as HELCOM and VASAB. These groups implement political ambitions outlined in strategic policy documents like the 2021 Baltic Sea Action Plan and the VASAB vision. While there have been examples of successful coordination, more can be achieved. The objective of this workshop is to explore ways to strengthen cooperation, reinforce actions, and increase visibility. The EUSBSR can serve as a facilitator between regional policymakers and local stakeholders, complementing the efforts of HELCOM and vice versa. The aim of the discussions is to identify and incorporate the best ideas for cross-sectoral activities into the EUSBSR Action Plan.
On 31 October 2024 at 11.00-12.30, HELCOM will be involved in a workshop ‘Shared Waters: Harmonizing Offshore Wind, Marine Protection and Planning in the Baltic Sea‘ organised by WWF Baltic Sea Programme. Venue: Viklau
On 30-31 October 2024, HELCOM will be showcasing its work at the expo area of the Networking Village. Come and say hello!
