The event will look into the commonalities between the Mediterranean and the Baltic Sea in relation to biodiversity. Non-indigenous species (NIS) are a threat to marine environments in these two semi-enclosed seas and have had ecological, economic and public health impacts globally. The role of regional and interregional cooperation as a tool to address this problem in a more efficient way will also be explored.
The event is aimed at researchers in this field and administrations dealing with the management of NIS. Participants are kindly requested to register to the session by answering the participation survey no later than 3 November 2023.
